This notice explains how The Therapeutic Consultants uses personal information about clients, parents and carers, website visitors and anyone who contacts us.
Who we are
The Therapeutic Consultants Ltd, First Floor, 677 High Road, London N12 0DA, is responsible for your information. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

What we hold and why

Who sees it
- Your clinician, and other TTC clinicians where needed for your care
- Clinical supervisors, who are bound by professional confidentiality and are usually told first names or initials only
- Our admin team, for contact and appointment details only
- Services we use to run TTC: Cliniko (clinical records), Trello (appointment organising), Zoom (online sessions, never recorded), Mailchimp (newsletter, only if you sign up), Google Analytics (website statistics, only if you accept cookies), and our email and phone providers
- Others only if the law requires it, for example to protect someone from serious harm
Some of these services store information in the United States, under UK-approved safeguards. We never sell your information.
Trello
Our admin team uses Trello to organise referrals and appointments. It holds your name, email, phone number and clinician, and initial referral notes. If you would prefer we did not use Trello for you, just tell us and we will use Cliniko only. This will not affect your therapy.
Emergency contacts
If you give us an emergency contact, please let them know we hold their name and number.
How long we keep it
- Clinical records: 3 years after therapy ends if later
- Enquiries that don’t lead to therapy: 12 months
- Financial records: 6 years
Your rights
You can ask to see your information, correct it, or ask us to delete or limit its use (although we must keep clinical records for the periods above). Young people who are mature enough to understand can make these requests themselves. Email rlowe@therapeuticconsultants.co.uk and we will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact our Data Protection Lead at rlowe@therapeuticconsultants.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it and tell you the outcome.
