Laura Liverotti

Laura is an Integrative Psychotherapist and Clinical Psychologist, with over 20 years’ experience, who offers a safe and confidential space where difficulties can be explored and worked through regular sessions.

She believes in a personalised approach, putting the relationship with the client at the centre of the therapeutic process.

When working with children and young people, as well as talking therapy, she can draw upon play, art or sand tray work, helping them to describe and make sense of and understand the challenges they are experiencing.

Laura has 13 years’ experience of working successfully both in mainstream and special schools, as well as Pupil Referral Units (PRUs), helping children and young people affected by extremely challenging issues, including attachment difficulties, anxiety, aggression and violence, behaviour challenges, ADHD and Autism. She also supports parents in thinking about how to support both themselves and their children.

She also has 6 years’ experience of working in a specialist residential organisation, supporting people with challenging mental health needs return to a more independent life.

Laura also has 4 years’ experience as an Honorary Psychotherapist at St Georges’ Hospital NHS Outpatient Psychotherapy unit.

Laura is an Integrative Psychotherapist, and draws from Psychodynamic, Person-centred and Humanistic approaches, allowing her to tailor therapy to the individual needs of her clients.

Laura has broad clinical experience across the life span, and working with all ages, gives her insights into a wide range of mental health difficulties.

Laura offers both short and long-term work in either English or Italian.

Qualifications

BA (Hons) in Psychology, MSc in Clinical Psychology, MA in Counselling & Psychotherapy, Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy (ADIP), Registered and accredited as a full member with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), UKCP Child and Adolescent Proficiency Marker, PGCert in Therapeutic Play, 'Parent-Child Attachment Play' Practitioner, Clinical Psychodynamic Supervision.
