Lucy Templeton

Lucy is a UKCP accredited Psychotherapist with many years of experience of therapeutic work with both adults and couples. She works with those who are seeking therapy to address the issues that are causing difficulty, disruption or distress in their lives. Lucy provides a safe, non-judgemental, empathetic and confidential space to explore what her clients bring to therapy. Using a collaborative and relational approach to identify and think through what is troubling and problematic, gives focus to the therapy. Lucy helps to formulate ways to bring about change for clients and work on the obstacles and difficulties which are in the way of living a more fulfilled and attuned life.

Lucy has a private practice at The Therapeutic Consultants and has worked as a psychotherapist in the private, voluntary/charity sectors and for the NHS.
She supervises graduate psychotherapists and counsellors working from a range of theoretical backgrounds at One Therapy in London from 2016 and currently holds the post of Senior Clinical Supervisor.

Since 2011 Lucy has supervised at the West London Counselling Centre and continues to supervise two groups of trainees and graduates there. She has also supervised groups of trainee and graduate counsellors/psychotherapists at a London Charity offering long- term low-cost psychotherapy and at a Bereavement Service. Previously, Lucy worked for six years with clients at Freshstart Psychotherapy Service, a London based charity offering long term psychotherapy. She has experience in working both in long term open-ended practice and also in short term, time-limited therapy.  She is on the Council of Management at the Centre for Transpersonal Psychology (CTP) and represents CTP at the Humanistic and Integrative College (HIPC) of the UKCP.

Lucy engages in continuing training and professional development to ensure that her practice is up-to-date and informed.  She welcomes and is experienced in working with difference.
