Ryan is a humanistic counsellor following a holistic, person-centred approach. He believes counselling is fruitful for both the difficult times as well as enriching ordinary daily life.
Ryan is available for both short and long term work. Depending on the client’s needs, sessions can focus on specific issues or on a more wide-ranging examination of your life.
Areas of focus can cover topics such as anger, depression, loss, relationships, substance abuse or ways to make concrete life changes. A more open-ended approach might reflect on many areas, the day to day that, when thought through with the help of a qualified person, brings more awareness, acceptance and contentment to life.
Ryan has been an eclectic, self-directed practitioner and teacher of health and well-being for over 25 years. In addition to his training as an integrative counsellor, he has studied many personal development practices both east and west, ancient and modern. He has been advanced practitioner and teacher of Ashtanga Yoga since 1995. He is a dedicated student and teacher of Brazillian Jiu Jitsu. He also leads regular weekly support groups, workshops and retreats focusing on self-awareness and authentic communication.
Ryan is currently studying a masters in Advanced Clinical Psychotherapy
