Supervision

Supervision is an integral part of all therapist's work. It is a requirement of every training and registering body and a vital part of the way that therapists work. At every level of experience, therapists think really carefully about their work and check their ideas, thoughts, instincts and processes with their supervisor. The role of the therapist is to make themselves available for the direct emotional impact of the work, and this is a vital part of the work, however, this leaves a need for someone else to help them with perspective and a view from outside the emotional intensity of the work. At TTC every therapist has supervision with a TTC supervisor who holds our ethics and ideals at heart. They guide and shepherd the work in a way that helps TTC as a whole to guide and look after the families that we work with.
