Psychiatric Assessment & Support

General Psychiatry

TTC has been providing psychiatric support for children, families and adults since we first opened in 2010.  Our multidisciplinary teams work closely together and therapists and psychiatrists liaise regularly in order to best support and hold those that we work with.  All our psychiatrists understand psychological therapies thoroughly and have input from psychotherapists into the treatment plans so that a holistic plan is put in place which does not rely solely on medication.

We have listened to what we have learned from parents over the years, and our assessments include careful feedback to parents, meetings to help understand the findings of the assessment and a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians who can support the family post assessment.

All our psychiatry pathways begin with a general psychiatry assessment which forms an initial exploration of the child and family so that we can make sure we understand the situation in full and make further recommendations for assessment and treatment as needed.

Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry

More recently we are excited to have launched our ADHD assessment and support service. We have taken a while to get this really perfect and build a service that matches the same high level of clinical experience and in-depth thinking that we provide in our ongoing clinical services. We are now really proud to launch this carefully thought-through service.

In line with our other services, the ADHD assessment service is truly multi-disciplinary. Each assessment is  carried out by a child psychiatrist and a child psychotherapist who specialise in neurodevelopmental assessment. They will carry out each assessment in depth and then feed-back to the family.   We will think carefully with families and help them to think about and understand the young person’s internal world.  The report will help parents and professionals to work with the child and meet their needs in light of their assessment.

Each ADHD assessment includes many hours of thinking and coming to understand the child in full, and this includes post assessment support.  We are fortunate to have a large team of multi-disciplinary professionals who are able to provide specific treatment for families. These include:

  • Regular Medication Reviews
  • Educational Psychotherapists
  • DiR Floortime Practitioners
  • Child Psychotherapists
  • CBT Therapist
  • Sleep Management

Much of the assessment can be done online if necessary, but it’ll be important to attend certain parts of the assessment in-person at our North London clinic (see address below).

All post-assessment treatment can be done online or in-person at any of our local clinics.

I cannot find enough words to express my gratitude

As parents of a child who has faced significant mental health challenges and, at times, exhibited abusive behaviour at home, I came across TTC and was fortunate enough to receive your support. I must say that, with her professional expertise, she managed to help bring my child under control. Given the ongoing challenges and the weekly costs involved, your company kindly offered low-cost sessions, which made a tremendous difference. I cannot find enough words to express my gratitude for all your help. I wish you and the entire team continued success and good health.
